Enrichment Program
All humans, especially children, can flourish when they feel safe—safe to imagine, be honest, express themselves, communicate, and make mistakes. My classroom fosters this environment, encouraging students to learn from every mistake. Inspired by Eleanor Roosevelt’s words, “Learn from the mistakes of others. You can’t live long enough to make them all yourself,” I share my own mistakes to show that learning is a lifelong process. This encourages students to step outside their comfort zones, discover their strengths, and build confidence. Competition is with oneself, not others, emphasizing individual growth. Perfection isn’t our goal; instead, we strive to become the best versions of ourselves by setting and achieving smaller goals. I aim for my students to end each day with pride in their accomplishments, knowing they are in a supportive and encouraging environment.

About Mrs. Hinnencamp
I have lived in Idaho all my life. From a young age, I connected with children with disabilities. In high school, I was involved in peer tutoring. In college, I worked in group homes and special education programs while studying sign language interpreting at The College of Southern Idaho. I paused my studies to raise my family and began working as an educational assistant in 2015, later becoming a one-on-one aide for students with autism. I returned to school in 2020, completed my bachelor’s degree in 2023, and started working as a special education teacher at Falcon Ridge. This is my second year teaching special education.
One of my interests in college was conflict management, and I enjoy helping others work through difficult moments. I enjoy traveling and trying out new foods while exploring other cultures. I love finding hikes with incredible views in new areas. I love rivers and oceans, but I don’t like to be in them, I never know what’s lurking around under there! I also enjoy seeing different sunsets in new places, but Idaho’s are my favorite.
I’ve been married for 24 years, and we have three children. Our 23-year-old son works as a fly fishing guide in Central Idaho, where he thrives on the outdoor lifestyle and the variety that seasonal work offers. His greatest gift is making everyone he meets feel seen and valued. Our 20-year-old daughter works for an airline, which gives us many opportunities to travel. She’s incredibly creative and has perfected the art of taking life slow. Our youngest daughter, 17, is a high school senior who hasn’t decided on her plans after graduation yet, but she keeps life lively with her humor. We also love pets and currently have dogs and cats.
