Mrs. Walker

I was born in Kankakee, Illinois and grew up in the Midwest. I earned my teaching degree from Olivet Nazarene University in Bourbonnais, Illinois. I earned my Master’s Degree in Educational Administration and principal certificate in 2024! This summer my family and I relocated to Nampa, Idaho. Over the past 12 years I have taught a combination of elementary grades as well as Middle School ELA.

I enjoy reading, exercising and camping in National Parks with my family. I enjoy a variety of genres and love to exercise by walking or doing Pilates. My all time favorite National Parks are Yellowstone and the Grand Tetons. Our family has visited there multiple times and find a lot of joy watching sunrises, exploring the area, paddleboarding, and soaking in the mountains! In addition to these areas of enjoyment I love to bake and cook, have friends over, and explore new recipes!

My immediate family means so much to me! My husband Mark, and our two kids, mean so much to me! Our son is in high school and our daughter is in middle school. Both of our kids are involved in cross country and track so we are an active running family! My students always hear about our family adventures. Oh…and I can’t leave out our Mini Goldendoodle named Elsie! It is a joy to incorporate everyday living with academic life.

It is a joy to help young minds learn and grow. My heart as an educator is focused on building relationships and empowering growth in all facets of development. I count each day a privilege and do not take lightly the importance of leaning into the powerful moments that middle school bring.

Thank You for the privilege of teaching your child.
