Welcome to History

I was born in central California but my family moved to Idaho when I was 5, so I spent my entire school career here. I attended CSI, BSU, and ISU for my BA in Elem Ed K-8. I have taught Middle School for the entire 29 years of my career, and I love it! I was at Greenleaf Friends Academy for 10 years, and I have been with Falcon Ridge since its opening.

In my spare time after school, I enjoy include reading and television, especially history documentaries and true crime. My favorite music is bluegrass and 80’s rock. Holidays are spent with extended family, playing games and eating potluck meals. Summer is my favorite season because I love the sun and the water. Therefore, I enjoy camping, swimming, tubing, and white water rafting. I even like mowing the lawn.

I have 3 grown sons: Michael, Scot, and Derek. I became a grandma in Jan 2024 to my amazingly beautiful, perfect Cooper! But I also feel like my FRCS students are part of my family too, so I love spending time with them as well. They make me enjoy my job so much, and I look forward to seeing them every day throughout the school year.
