Welcome to 5th Grade!  I am so happy to be your teacher this year.  A little bit about me…

I’ve spent almost my entire life in Idaho, with a few years in Michigan. I graduated from American Falls High School and went on to earn my degree from Idaho State University in 1998. With 24 years of teaching experience, I’ve had the pleasure of working with students in 7th, 6th, 2nd, and 5th grades. I’m passionate about education and committed to helping my students succeed.

Outside of the classroom, I enjoy walking the Boise Greenbelt for a good workout—it’s my happy place. I also have a passion for being a hair stylist, which I still do on the side. I love spending time outdoors and traveling whenever I can.

I’m a proud mother of three children and grandmother to seven grandkids. My daughters are in the medical field, and my son owns his own excavation company. Being a part of their lives, especially attending their events, is my greatest joy.

In my classroom, I believe in fostering academic rigor as well as building strong character. My goal is to prepare students not just for their future academic endeavors, but also to spread kindness in the world as they grow into adults.
